LOST SOUL Day 6

Yesterday was a hard slog. What I was writing was rubbish and no matter how many times I tried to change it, it didn't seem to get any better. In the end I think I sorted it, but I must have written at least 15 pages most of which ended up being deleted. Because of this I decided to take the morning off and play with the kids. Now I'm back.

26 pages done and hopefully I can get 5 done today to keep me on track.

I'm going in.

One of the hardest things about writing for me is the knock on effect of changing something in your script.

Take yesterday; what I had originally planned to write didn't work out so I had to change it, that in turn has had a knock on effect on future scenes. So at the moment I'm pretty much making it up as I go...scary!

I'm starting to worry my female characters are a little weak. I worry a lot when I'm writing.

I've just spent the last hour on the Staples' website. Stationary is dangerous to your writing time, but at least I came away with a new printer.

Lots of distractions this afternoon, as I have both boys to look after today. I guess I'll be writing tonight to make up for missing this morning.

That scene was rubbish; delete, delete, delete!

Now that's better :-)

Way, way, way, way too many interruptions today, I really don't know how I got any work done at all.

And for those of you that don't know already I look after a website as a community publisher, so I also have to do work on that every day, as it can't be ignored....coz it pays for my beer money :-)

Random thought...

If I laid all the words I've written (just as a writer and not in normal life)in one long line how far would they stretch?

Yeah I know, I'm weird!

Another 5 pages done. Not as hard as yesterday, just more interruptions.

I'll have email and web turned off tomorrow and I'll ask my dear lady wife to take the kids out for a couple of hours.

More tomorrow.
