Green Dot

White Knight came back from the BBC Writersroom.

There was a green dot on the script. Any ideas what that's for, or signifies?

It'll be part of their filing system. All mine that have been read all the way through had a green dot I think, whereas the one that failed the 10 page test had a red or orange one... Or could be the other way round. Did you get feedback or not? That'll tell you.

I've had some mad filing systems given to me over the years... I'll never forget the lady agent who separated scripts she liked with loveheart-shaped post-its, only for some other wag in the office to put the bloody things EVERYWHERE and on EVERYTHING. And guess who had to sort the bloody things out and read her mind on which were the ones she originally liked? That'll be me.

Yeah, I got feedback. I've had feedback on other scripts I've just not seen the green sticker before. It might mean it was a solicited script?

I think a green dot is highly significant

Maybe - end of the day, it's just for the guys in the office. What's significant is the feedback. Any good? Did they ask for another?

Actually PD's right Dom, I just didn't want to alarm you. There are alot of leprous scripts around these days. The only thing you can do is burn it and wash yourself in curry sauce else your knob will fall off.

You're just rude, Lucy!!! RUDE, I tell thee.

It was mostly good feedback (see my website), but they weren't too keen on the premise. They didn't ask me to send another but I have anyway, coz I'm cheeky like that :-)

And please stop mentioning my knob in posts, my wife will think there's something going on.

STOP mentioning your knob? I thought this was the first time.

Also Dom, I'm afraid you cannot afford me. I am low maintenance money-wise, but I will pillage your mind like a Viking.

Oh, for god's sake, Dom asks a perfectly sensible question about his script, seeking informed opinions, and all he gets are childish responses saying it's leprosy or talking about his man parts.
Just stop it, all of you. Besides, everyone knows the green dot is a bogie. Eurrrrgh! Dom's got a bogie on his script! No-one go near, or you'll catch it too!
